On the left is a reproduction of Brett Clarkson's story for the Toronto Sun, published 9/10/02, the day after Vreeland failed to show up for his extradition hearing. The inside story here is that we've learned that Vreeland spent all day with his attorneys on Sunday, 9/8/02, preparing for the hearing, and was in contact via telephone at 10:30 PM that Sunday. Thus, certain folks have suspicions that Vreeland may have been forcibly silenced or killed.

Or maybe he just panicked and ran.
