"Sander
Hicks is a national treasure. He is a first-rate writer,
investigative journalist, public speaker, organizer, and general
all-around trouble-maker."

from recent Reviews of Slingshot to the Juggernaut
I have been slowly building up something called the Truth Party. I run a mindful carpentry operation called Zen Carpentry.
Previously, I founded two
celebrated social ventures, Vox Pop Inc. and
Soft Skull Press.
In 2003, I was in "Horns and Halos"
(HBO/Cinemax) the independent publishing documentary that recorded our
attempts to get unpopular truths out about G.W.Bush, through the
biography Fortunate Son (Soft
Skull, 1999).
My 2005 book, The
Big Wedding
(Vox Pop, 2005) breaks new ground on the working-class intelligence
assets and whistle-blowers who tried to stop 9/11 from happening. Big Wedding was the basis for the
2008 indie film Able Danger.
I have reported for Alternet, GNN, Long Island Press, New York
Press, and Catholic Worker. I also have a page here about
my work as a playwright. This is a page on previous books I have published.
