March Against Neo-Nazis
August 24, Washington,
DC
American fascists National
Alliance just got a permit to rally and have
a concert on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, this
August 24.
It is now the job of
all true patriots, progressives, pacifists and radicals
to confront this sprouting of the far-right and
stamp out new fascism before it's too late.
UPSERJ,
Long Island's grassroots activist coalition, is
organizing a bus to DC to counter-demonstrate. If
you live on Long Ilsand, or in NYC, won't you join
us? A lot of different groups are making plans to
be there, and a massive, fun, diverse weekend is
planned. We leave on August 23, Friday.
It's time to present
our agenda on a national stage: We're in the middle
of a big crisis, the economy is on shaky ground,
there's massive corruption in corporate America,
as well as in the FBI and CIA, regarding the "War
on Terrorism." The integrity of the U.S. Government
itself is called into question. President Bush is
doing nothing
to help the fight on poverty and racism, in fact,
as Governor of Texas, he opposed Hate Crime laws,
and supported Neo-Confederate groups.
UPSERJ,
United People for Social, Economic and Racial Justice,
takes direct action and holds monthly meetings to
organize the power to make change happen. It's time
to present the antidote to the hate and fear the
system hands us as a distraction from the real problems.
March on DC August
24!
Contact us to sign
up for the van/bus from Long Island, making one
stop in NYC!
