Seth Tobocman is a radical artist from NYC who performs work based on his arresting, visual political comics. He has written two books, War in the Neighborhood (a graphic novel about the Tompkins Square struggle) and You Don't Have to Fuck People Over to Survive.

"When an artist intends to express a political notion, the art itself may become secondary and confused...Sometimes artists break through all these limits by taking risks, by being so good that they can dance under a heavy load. Tobocman does this regularly."

—Wes Anderson, The Village Voice

"Tobocman's text is like a poem and his illustrations are like a punch in the gut."

—Jimmy Jazz

Seth has a new book of sketches, "Portraits of Israelis and Palestinians for My Parents" created while teaching art to kids in Palestine and visiting Israel.

Sonny Meadows:

"Mr. Meadows displays an inventive sense of rhythm and melody that runs the sonic gamut from Kurt Weil to Southern chain gangs, ....along with hooky choruses featuring female vocals that seep deep into the psyche..."

–Robbie Woliver, New York Times, November 2000

"If anyone can express our times musically it's Long Island's Sonny Meadows. Don't let his friendly name fool you. Meadows is pissed! His latest release, 'Bibles, Guns and Flags' is an astonishing album of well produced, timely, topical protest songs written for our times."

–The Night Guide

"Meadows has developed an underground cult status among musicians and plain folk alike."

–ISLAND EAR, 1/99
